"There is no other softball camp experience like Camp Rise Ball and a Welcome Change for Players, Parents, and Coaches from the Travel Ball Circuit"
More Colleges Represented on our 2011 camp staffs than ever before! More clinicians to learn from and more colleges for you to guarantee exposure. We will increase the number of colleges on staff and increase the number of quality specialized teaching sessions in our camps and not increase the price of any of our camps. When we say this is the best softball investment you can make in 2011 we mean it and back it up!
New and Enhanced Instruction at every camp session. Our camps have received rave reviews but we will not stop from offering you more! Our coaches teach, teach, teach! We are committed to your improvement! (For multiple Camp Rise Ball participants, you will receive a progression in training as your master skill level improves.)
Catch, Throw, Receive with Footwork energized lessons with 2009 NFCA Hall Of Fame Coach Bill Edwards(Hofstra). These skills are rarely taught anywhere because they are not understood by most coaches. Understanding and executing these softball specific movements will make you a better athlete and defensive player immediately! This session is a Rise Ball Camp exclusive and a camper favorite!
Pitching Improvement Sessions where pitchers work directly with college pitching coaches. Small groups and personal interaction with pitching coaches who have developed some of the best college pitchers in the nation. You will learn the adjustments and drills that you can use to improve your pitching success. At Rise Ball Camps you will not just throw and throw....you will learn, throw, adjust, and learn again. You will be taught the information you need to correct mechanics and receive the drills needed to improve on what you are currently doing on the pitchers mound.
Catcher Training Sessions where catchers receive intensive and detailed instruction from college catching coaches. The catchers training is directed by Rutgers assistant coach Ryan Realmuto, a former All Big 12 collegiate catcher at Oklahoma State and Pro Fastpitch league catcher. Coach Realmuto's attention to detail, lengthy elite catching experience, and unique ability to teach the "catching" game will leave you with a new level of pride in what it means to be a catcher (but be prepared to work!).
Infield & Outfield Specialized Instruction sessions where break out groups are taught defense in depth and drilled to enhance performance. Coach Anderson(Hofstra), Coach Mejia(LIU), and Coach Consolmagno(Hartford) direct breakout groups in these areas where you will learn techniques used by elite softball players in the game today.
Chunk Your Swing Hitting Development. Directed by Coach Roy Kortmann(LIU) who has developed three D-1 All American hitters and assisted by Coach Andy Russo of St. Johns University. Learn how to "chunk" together pieces of your swing. Develop the self awareness to "teach" yourself the correct swing and increase your ability to make adjustments. Coach Kortmann and Russo have founded this unique teaching method which puts the player in control of building her own swing. Former men's major fastpitch player, Coach Nelson(Rutgers) will also provide valuable expertise for you to become a terrific contact hitter.
Opening Night Pro Style Workout. Each camp opens with players participating in infield, outfield, live batting practice, and base running skill development. The college coaching staff is actively involved in each area and provides for a fun way to meet the staff and fellow campers. Included in this night are tips to increase your speed on the bases through an evaluation of your running form. No other camp uses this unique format.......another Rise Ball Camp exclusive.
Camp Games Coached by College Coaches. Campers will participate in competitive games and have their teams coached by top collegiate coaches. Coaches continue to provide in game instruction to continue the non-stop learning experience at Camp Rise Ball. Our college coaching staff utilizes every opportunity to help you improve.
